Who said "rock and roll is dead"?

I know a few of the thunderers aren't coming out tonight. However to the rest of you I extend an invitation to listen to some local music. Nikki Hurst, along with The Heck and Ten Ways From Sunday can be seen tonight at the Buffalo Club (1161 Granville Street) from the low, low price of $8... much cheaper than those money grubbers, U2. Doors open at 8:00pm and bands start at 9:00pm. Hope to see some of you there.

GodMa - Fantastic ThunderThursday Host!!

GodMa, thanks for the fantastic ThunderThursday event you organized. The food, liquids, entertainment and atmosphere, and of course, the gallery, were super. Loved lounging on the suede couches by the fire, gobbling sushi, sippin some Red Cap stubbies, chatting with everyone, as well as playing some Texas Holdem while on display for all to see at street level on Richards and Nelson. Thanks man, Good times!!

Thunder Thursday - March 31

There was Thunder! ...The night started at Hapa's on Robson, right after work with a former colleague. Man, did we eat! I like the place...has nice mood, service was great and very busy since they opened up. We had lotsa typical raw dishes....it was funny.

Then we went up the street to Zins, which was awesome chill. We sat on the lounge side, by the bar. The lounge has a nouveau retro look, in orange and red colors, and their seating was funky, as well as comfortable. Just before we left, the Scientist and T.Kelly had joined WaPang and myself for some Thunder Thursdaying.

Then down to the Crime Lab, close to Coal Harbour. It was busy! We squished by the bar, got some drinks and then got a table downstairs right by the bar. We had some chats and drinks, the Operator joined us, and the Scientist did his excellent Elevator impression when he was just outside our table window. It was fun fun.

What would a Thunder Thursday be without crunching 5 or 6 of us in the Operator's match box? That was some good chuckles, as we drove over to Bin 941. I had never been but it was quiant and funky. It had lots of mirrors and copper that made the room look really warm. We got seats in the back corridor, by the washrooms, where there is a sit down ledge with stools. I'm telling you, sitting in that area was great way to meet people! As people waited to go to the washrooms, we would entertain. It was fun.

Lesson Learned this TT: Don't put $5 on your credit card because the server will ask you if you are from out of town. You might go red.
